In 2018, Grupo Joly deployed Grupo Spec idSense, a Time Clock (Hardware) terminal, to capture staff time registration and to provide access control across its publishing operations. The implementation consolidated point of work clock-in and access events from editorial, printing and distribution sites into a central attendance stream intended for HR and payroll processing.
Grupo Spec idSense was used primarily for time capture and physical access enforcement, with device-level event collection feeding a centralized attendance store owned by Grupo Joly's HR function. Operational design emphasized consistent attendance record normalization for downstream HR and payroll workflows, and governance focused on centralized validation of time records and enforcement of attendance policies across the publisher's operational sites.
