In 2018, GSL Group upgraded from Microsoft Dynamics GP to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. The Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central deployment was a cloud ERP Financial implementation configured as a multi-company solution across the organization.
The implementation covered GSL’s portfolio of more than 40 companies spanning events and arenas, construction and hospitality, and it aligned three distinct accounting departments under a unified financial platform. GSL partnered with Catapult to execute the upgrade and to provision centralized financial processes and reporting across the divisions.
The workstreams focused on multi-entity consolidation and intercompany transaction processing, accounts payable automation, and rationalization of purchasing workflows to reduce reconciliation overhead. Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central was configured to provide consolidated financial reporting while preserving the ability to analyze and report at individual company level, addressing specific limitations previously encountered in Microsoft Dynamics GP 2005.
Prior to the upgrade, purchase requests were managed in a SharePoint solution and financial teams relied on printed reports or Excel copy and paste to manipulate GP outputs. The Business Central deployment delivered exportable, consolidated reporting capabilities that enabled higher level data capture and analysis for portfolio performance and company level decision making, reducing reliance on manual reconciliation between systems.
Governance and rollout emphasized a multi-company configuration model and standardized accounting workflows to support the three accounting departments, with Catapult executing the migration from Microsoft Dynamics GP and configuring Business Central for intercompany and consolidation requirements. The migration addressed long standing support and functionality constraints tied to the older Microsoft Dynamics GP 2005 environment while establishing a cloud ERP Financial foundation for ongoing portfolio reporting.

In 2013, GSL Group implemented Google Workspace (Formerly Google G-Suite) as its primary Collaboration platform. The Canada based construction and real estate firm with approximately 1,000 employees deployed Google Workspace to support corporate email, document collaboration and calendaring across the enterprise, and the implementation is reflected on their public website.
Google Workspace (Formerly Google G-Suite) was configured to provide core Collaboration capabilities including Gmail for enterprise email, Google Drive for centralized file storage, Docs, Sheets and Slides for collaborative authoring, and Google Calendar for scheduling. Administration functions were centralized in the Google Admin console to manage user accounts, group provisioning, basic identity and access controls, and mobile device management consistent with Collaboration category practices.
Operational coverage extended across corporate functions that require cross team collaboration, including project management, design and back office operations, with the platform accessible from the corporate domain and referenced on the company website. Configuration emphasis was on cloud first, single tenant provisioning under the customer domain, enabling shared drives and team collaboration spaces aligned to project and departmental needs.
Governance centered on role and group based access, sharing policy enforcement through the Admin console, and standard collaborative workflows for document review and version control. The deployment used standard Collaboration functionality to centralize messaging and document workflows, while retaining administrative controls for data governance and user lifecycle management.
