In 2014, Gulf Keystone Petroleum implemented Infor SunSystems as its core platform to consolidate financial control and project cost management. The Infor SunSystems deployment functions as the company ERP Financial foundation for corporate accounting, project accounting and cost tracking across upstream operations.
The implementation targeted Sun Accounts functionality within Infor SunSystems and configured standard ERP Financial modules including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, project cost control and fixed assets management. Configuration emphasized activity-level cost capture and scheduling to support well construction, flowline and facilities construction budgets, with setup for project accounting and cost roll-up across discrete capital and operational workstreams.
Integrations were established between Infor SunSystems and Maximo software to capture maintenance and asset-related costs, enabling transactional handoffs between maintenance management and financial ledgers. The deployment and functional scope explicitly covered production operations, corrosion monitoring initiatives, community relations administration and land acquisition projects, with Computime engaged as the system integrator for implementation services and technical integration.
Governance and process workstreams included defining, costing and scheduling necessary activities, performing make-buy analysis and developing contract strategy templates for well construction and facilities projects. Operational rollout and controls focused on aligning finance and project controls teams to the new Sun Accounts and Maximo interfaces, embedding contract strategy outputs into project accounting and establishing owner-side oversight for capital and operational project cost governance.

In 2020 Gulf Keystone Petroleum implemented HxGN EAM (Ex. Infor EAM) as part of an Enterprise Asset Management deployment alongside SUN Systems. The work targeted consolidation of asset, maintenance and financial data, and the project scope included migrating existing data and processes into SUN Systems and HxGN EAM to establish a unified Enterprise Asset Management platform.
The Data Migration Lead formulated and developed the data migration strategies and detailed work plans, working closely with internal teams and partners to identify and define data conversion requirements. Core activities included implementing business rules and data validations, restructuring Master Data into the HxGN EAM target model, and preparing source to target mapping documentation for each domain.
Operational execution covered creation of data load files for multiple load cycles, managing data load errors with relevant stakeholders, and extracting data from Dynamics 365 with reconciliations designed using Q&A Reports. The lead managed the process of creating, reviewing and validating Master Data and produced reconciliation files from source systems to target systems to support go-live readiness.
Governance controls focused on data cleansing programs and tracking, with dashboards reporting percentage complete and action lists for internal teams to remediate source records. Final converted data sets were reviewed and approved through established validation workflows, embedding data governance into the Enterprise Asset Management rollout using HxGN EAM (Ex. Infor EAM).
