In 2019, Eikenhout Building Supplies implemented Epicor Data Analytics as part of an Analytics and BI initiative integrated with Epicor BisTrack and Epicor Warehouse Management. The deployment supported a multi site distribution footprint of 10 locations in Michigan and targeted operational and financial visibility for operations, finance, sales administration, regional management, and IT. Epicor Data Analytics was positioned to aggregate transactional BisTrack and WMS data to provide actionable reporting and dashboards.
The implementation delivered configured reporting and dashboard functionality, including daily sales, month to date and year to date budget progress for sales teams, AR and credit control reports, inventory visibility reports, and rebate accrual reporting. Epicor Data Analytics was used to operationalize BisTrack data feeds to automate scheduling of orders into warehouse scanners, support cycle count visibility, and provide the analytics layer for credit hold workflows and rebate expense accruals. The solution consolidated data modeling and standard reporting to reduce manual report creation.
Integration architecture centered on Epicor Data Analytics consuming and normalizing data from Epicor BisTrack and Epicor Warehouse Management, enabling cross functional views of inventory, order flow, sales performance, and financial accruals. Operational coverage included order picking and warehouse scanning workflows, inventory cycle counting across yards, sales administration reporting distribution, and AR credit monitoring at the branch and salesperson level. The analytics layer supported automated distribution of dashboards to regional managers and the sales organization.
Governance and process changes were implemented alongside the analytics rollout, with new BisTrack fed reports enforcing immediate credit hold behavior across scheduling and dispatch, and rebate accruing designed to post at time of sale for month by month financial accuracy. Smart Click driven mass data actions in BisTrack reduced time spent on global changes, and automated reporting removed the need for daily manual report assembly by the sales administration team. Real time cycle counts eliminated the prior year end physical inventory shutdown process.
Reported outcomes explicitly included stronger controls with less administrative effort, rebate expense being accrued monthly rather than as a single year end adjustment, the sales administration team saving more than an hour each day through automated reporting, and a new credit control report that curtailed credit code releases by 80 percent. Epicor Data Analytics served as the central Analytics and BI platform linking operational BisTrack and WMS capabilities to finance and commercial decision making.
