In 2013 Habitat for Humanity Canada implemented Allworx Reach as part of a multi-site Allworx VoIP rollout to extend office telephony to mobile staff and central reception. Allworx Reach was deployed to provide consistent extension dialing, voicemail and presence across locations, aligning the application with core communication workflows for fundraising and volunteer coordination.
JM Telecom led the deployment and configured Allworx Reach to enable mobile access to office extensions, unified voicemail handling and presence indicators, while preserving on-premise multi-site call routing and centralized receptionist control. The project architecture focused on site-level Allworx nodes with centralized call handling logic, delivering the VoIP functional capabilities needed by a small nonprofit environment.
The implementation supported nonprofit operations in the Halton and Mississauga region of Canada and directly impacted donor and volunteer communications, front desk operations and staff mobility. The rollout delivered centralized reception, reduced inter-office call costs and increased staff mobility as stated in project notes.
