In 2022 Haidilao implemented AntChain Platform to issue and manage a cross-border blind box digital collection campaign tied to its e-commerce channels. The deployment used AntChain Platform as the Blockchain Platform for on-chain issuance, assigning unique serial numbers to each digital collectible to record non-tamperable, indivisible and irreplaceable on-chain rights consistent with domestic digital collection models.
The implementation configured AntChain Platform capabilities for token issuance and provenance tracking, positioning the digital collection as an NFT sub-track with weakened financial and transaction attributes to align with regulatory constraints. Functional modules focused on token minting, metadata management, and immutability of ownership records, together with timed and limited release controls that mirror common domestic release patterns for digital collections.
Operational coverage included Haidilao’s member mall and external retail channel listing, the Tmall flagship store, where the Eggplant Star Doll Series blind boxes were officially pre-sold beginning March 30. The rollout therefore spanned e-commerce, marketing and membership functions, enabling coordinated pre-sale merchandising, customer engagement through collectible ownership, and channel-level fulfillment coordination between Haidilao’s member mall and Tmall storefronts.
Governance was oriented toward cultural and collection attributes rather than financial trading, reflecting an issuance model based on alliance chain principles and explicit adherence to weakened transactional characteristics. Haidilao’s use of AntChain Platform as the Blockchain Platform created a persistent on-chain record for each collectible, supporting marketing and product strategies aimed at younger consumers while preserving regulatory-friendly issuance controls.
