In 2018, Halows Co. introduced the cloud version of Cybozu Garoon as its company-wide groupware. Cybozu Garoon was implemented as a Collaboration application to support internal communication, schedule sharing, and HR and administration processes across the head office and 106 stores in western Japan.
The deployment emphasized an internal-communications and portal role, with Cybozu Garoon configured for shared calendars, announcement publishing, and centralized schedule coordination. The implementation leveraged Collaboration capabilities to consolidate communication workflows and reduce fragmented point solutions.
Fujitsu Japan led the implementation, delivering the cloud deployment and integration design. Garoon was used alongside kintone for approvals, establishing a two-platform operational model where Garoon handled communications and portal functions and kintone managed approval workflows.
Operational scope covered HR and administration functions company-wide, spanning the head office and 106 retail sites in western Japan. The case study cites improved coordination and reduced system sprawl as the primary outcomes of the Cybozu Garoon deployment.
