In 2018 Hamworthy Heating implemented Sage 500 ERP (formerly MAS 500) as its core back-office system, categorized as ERP Financial, and paired the deployment with SalesLogix CRM. CPiO served as the implementation partner and worked closely with Hamworthy during a business process review begun after the company became private in 2001 to align processes and IT systems to new operating requirements.
The implementation included Sage 500 ERP (formerly MAS 500) with modular configuration capabilities and Sage Configurator to automate complex quotation creation. Configurator content is authored for use by sales and presales staff, all quotes are stored in SalesLogix, and accepted quotes automatically create sales orders in Sage 500 ERP, enabling a closed loop from configuration and quotation to order entry.
Integrations center on SalesLogix CRM and the Configurator layer, providing a single source of customer data accessible to sales, customer service, engineering and production teams. The rollout extended SalesLogix access to technical and service staff, supporting scheduling and management of engineers with access to customer history, product and parts information required for each job, and providing sales staff with up to date status on pending quotes and jobs.
Governance and process change were driven by the initial business process review, yielding customizable user screens and role specific information views to enforce consistent customer facing workflows. As implemented by CPiO, the integrated Sage 500 ERP and SalesLogix solution centralized customer data and streamlined configuration, quotation and order processes, improving efficiency and consistency of service delivery across Hamworthy Heating.
