In 2010, Hancock & Estabrook implemented Mitel Unified Communicator Advanced and Mitel Audio & Web Conferencing together with Mitel Communications Director to extend Audio Video and Web Conferencing capabilities across its legal practice in the United States. The deployment targeted firm offices across upstate New York and focused on enabling mobility, unified presence and secure collaboration for attorneys and administrative staff.
Mitel Unified Communicator Advanced was configured to provide consolidated presence and one number mobility, aligning client desktop presence with office telephony controlled by Mitel Communications Director. The Mitel Audio & Web Conferencing component provided hosted conferencing capabilities intended to reduce reliance on third party conferencing services. Functionally the implementation emphasized presence management, call routing and multi party audio and web conferencing workflows consistent with Audio Video and Web Conferencing solutions.
The solution architecture integrated Mitel Unified Communicator Advanced with Mitel Communications Director and the Mitel Audio & Web Conferencing service as a cohesive communications stack, retaining call control and conferencing orchestration within the Mitel environment. Operational coverage included multiple office sites in upstate New York and was scoped to firm wide legal and professional services functions. Twinstate/Voice.data.video.inc. acted as the systems integrator and is identified in the case study as the partner responsible for deployment.
The rollout delivered immediate unified presence, one number mobility and reduced third party conferencing costs as documented in the case study. Governance centered on centralizing collaboration controls within the Mitel platform and updating user workflows for mobile and remote access to conferencing and presence capabilities.
