The Zedmed Platform implementation focused on core patient administration and clinical records workflows and was operated by customer service and administration officers, reception staff, practice managers, doctors and nursing personnel.
Zedmed Platform was configured to manage appointment scheduling and telephone triage workflows, process Medicare vouchers for clinicians, support end of day batching per doctor, and create and process invoices. The system was also used to prepare and produce patient clinical records for lawyers and insurance companies for work compensation claims, and to handle accounts payable and receivable tasks through the practice administration interface of Zedmed Platform.
Operational governance emphasized office administration controls and document handling. Inbound medical information received by post and fax was collated, scanned and routed to clinicians through Zedmed, clinical correspondence and medical letters were produced within Zedmed Platform and distribution to patients was executed via an integration with Hotdoc. The implementation structured daily operational processes around Zedmed Platform driven workflows for patient access, billing, and clinical record management.
