In 2017 Helical Plc implemented Infor SunSystems. Helical Plc deployed Infor SunSystems as its ERP Financial platform to manage accounts payable, supplier accounting and corporate card processing across its finance function.
The deployment focused on core financial modules aligned to accounts payable workflows, supplier master data maintenance, bank payment processing and reconciliation. Invoice intake relied on scanning and indexing of purchase invoices using V1 software, with coding and validation performed prior to posting in Infor SunSystems. Payment processing used the BACS system identified as SUN accounts / B4B to produce batch files for authorisation and upload into the payments channel.
Infor SunSystems was operationally integrated with V1 software for invoice capture and with the SUN accounts / B4B payment flow for batch payment orchestration. The finance team handled supplier setup, supplier queries and supplier account reconciliations, while the Property Team provided Barclaycard statements that were collated and coded for processing onto the system. Operational coverage was therefore centered on the company finance function and the Property Team.
Day to day governance included supplier master controls, invoice coding standards and a reconciliation cadence for supplier ledgers. Control points included the invoice validation step after scanning, the creation of BACS payment batches and periodic reconciliation of supplier and Barclaycard accounts.
