In 2010, Henner Group implemented OpenText Exstream as part of a Customer Engagement initiative to provide template-driven document composition for its international extranets and online reimbursement workflows. OpenText Exstream was deployed to handle generation of request PDFs tied to the e-claiming process and to produce client-facing communications across extranets.
The implementation included template management and PDF generation capabilities, an administration interface and an extranet engine for automatic creation of client extranets, and a backend redesign based on Zend Framework to share functionality across sites. Development work included reverse engineering of existing extranets to design the database, internationalization and localization of extranets, and SEO and application security improvements.
Integrations were explicit and technical, the solution interfaced with an LDAP directory server for authentication and with a web service for authorization management, and business logic was invoked via SOAP Web Services from the project management team. Document storage and archival were managed through Alfresco, and the technical stack cited LAMP and WAMP environments, Smarty templating, Citrix delivery components, and the OpenText Exstream composition engine. The operational footprint targeted Henner Holding Group extranets and the policyholder e-claiming workflow in Paris, impacting customer service and IT application teams.
Governance and rollout included centralized access management via a new SSO authentication module, automated provisioning of extranets through the extranet engine, and a management interface for administration and operations. The SI/VAR MEG Digital is identified as the implementation partner involved in the engagement.
