In 2018, Herzog & De Meuron US implemented Odoo Enterprise as its ERP Financial platform. The implementation was delivered with SI partner brain-tec and configured to support the firm’s international office footprint, including London, Hamburg, Madrid, New York City and Hong Kong while the head office remains in Basel.
The deployment consolidated a broad set of Odoo modules, explicitly Accounting, CRM, Invoicing, Project, Sales, Website, Recruitment, Expenses, Appraisal, Email Marketing, Marketing Automation, Leaves and Timesheet. These modules were configured to address core finance and project workflows, invoice to cash and accounts payable processes, project accounting and time capture, as well as HR lifecycle functions from recruitment to appraisal and leave management, and marketing automation tied to the firm website.
The Odoo Enterprise instance was provisioned as a modular ERP Financial environment with a unified data model to provide consistent master data and transactional flows across studios. brain-tec implemented module configuration, role based access controls and data consolidation patterns to enable centralized accounting ledgers, project cost tracking and consolidated CRM records across offices.
Governance changes focused on standardizing process flows for finance, projects and HR, aligning timesheet and expense submission with project billing cycles and introducing consistent recruitment and appraisal workflows. Operational scope covered finance, project management, sales, HR and marketing functions across the firm’s multi‑office structure without introducing named third party integrations beyond the configured Odoo modules.
