The professional services firm of approximately 50 employees moved its customers’ payables to a cloud-based platform to eliminate paper checks, invoice scanning and manual filing, shifting transactional work toward higher-value advisory services for startups and small businesses.
The deployment centered on accounts payable automation and accounts receivable automation capabilities, configured to capture invoices, enforce approval processes, record payment history and provide real-time insights and audit-ready transaction trails. The BILL Financial Operations Platform served as a central lynchpin in Hiline’s stack, enabling electronic payments, workflow-based approvals and cloud record keeping that are consistent with standard AP Automation,AR Automation functional workflows.
Operationally the platform was embedded into Hiline’s client-facing finance operations, supporting accounting, taxes, HR and payroll advisory by consolidating payables workflows for multiple startup customers. The implementation enabled staff to integrate into customer teams as ongoing finance operators and advisors, with the BILL Financial Operations Platform providing instant visibility into invoice status, approval history and payment timing across client engagements.
