In 2018, Hindalco Industries implemented Oracle e-Business Suite Accounts Payable. The Oracle e-Business Suite Accounts Payable deployment was executed as an AP Automation initiative to consolidate invoice processing, approvals and accounting derivation across finance and procurement functions.
The implementation leveraged RICEW based configuration and customization patterns consistent with Oracle E-Business Suite 11.5.10 and R12 experience to deliver core Accounts Payable capabilities. Implemented functional modules and capabilities included invoice capture and validation, three way and two way matching tied to Purchasing PO, supplier master integration, accounting interface to General Ledger and workflow-driven approval engines, supplemented by reports and forms developed with BI Publisher and Oracle Reports.
Integrations and technical interfaces were developed using PL/SQL and SQL*Loader for bulk data loads, REST and SOAP web services for synchronous integrations, and Oracle Integration Cloud patterns where available for system-to-system connectivity. Operational coverage focused on finance, procurement and shared services, with governance enforced through configured AP workflows, personalization of forms and reports, and RICEW change control for ongoing support. The project centered on embedding Oracle e-Business Suite Accounts Payable as the enterprise AP Automation backbone for Hindalco Industries.

In 2018, Hindalco Industries implemented Oracle Analytics Cloud to centralize equipment telemetry and operational reporting across manufacturing and corporate functions. Oracle Analytics Cloud was deployed on Oracle's second generation cloud infrastructure to deliver Analytics and BI capabilities that span plant floor monitoring and enterprise dashboards.
The implementation configured functional modules for real time HR dashboards, Compliance dashboards, and Commodity dashboards, together with equipment parameter monitoring and visualization centers on the factory floor. Oracle Analytics Cloud ingests sensor and IoT data to display metrics such as temperature, vibration and RPM, and hosts AI based predictive maintenance models that identify out of pattern behavior and surface alerts when pre defined thresholds or model signals occur.
Integrations were executed using Oracle Integration Cloud to create extensions that run Hindalco's on premise Oracle Ebusiness Suite on the cloud and to connect on premise applications to SaaS components such as Oracle Transportation Management to streamline supply chain workflows. Mobile front ends were built with Oracle Visual Builder, including a night duty observation app that captures abnormal conditions across plant areas and a health wellness app targeted to Hindalco’s nearly 10,000 strong employee base in India.
Operational governance was shifted to event driven workflows where alerts route to concerned teams and visualization stations enable immediate shop floor decisions by shift engineers and operators. The Compliance dashboard provides the Company Secretary with instant access to checkpoints and action items, while HR tracking covers open positions, time to fill and band wise training completion status, creating visible accountability across functions.
Reported outcomes tied directly to the implementation include improved operational efficiencies, prevention of equipment downtime through predictive maintenance, and extension of equipment life that generated significant cost avoidance. The cloud hosted Oracle Analytics Cloud environment also delivered zero downtime operational provisioning and fast instance lifecycle control as part of Hindalco's broader cloud strategy.

| R3 Corda | Legacy | R3 Corda Blockchain Platform | Blockchain Platform | Blockchain | n/a | 2025 | 2025 |
In 2025, Hindalco Industries implemented the R3 Corda Blockchain Platform as a core element of its Proteus-powered digital manufacturing platform to improve contract manufacturing visibility and multi-party collaboration. The R3 Corda Blockchain Platform is deployed to support multi-tier supply chain orchestration and sustainability tracking within manufacturing and tolling operations, aligning blockchain capabilities with procurement, production control, and compliance functions.
The implementation emphasized multi-party shared data collaboration, real-time production tracking, automated compliance management, and embedded sustainability metrics. Hindalco configured the R3 Corda Blockchain Platform to enable immutable transaction records, participant identity controls, and consensus-backed data exchange, complemented by distributed SDK patterns and decentralised service components consistent with a Blockchain Platform deployment.
Operational scope extended across Hindalco’s contract manufacturing and supplier ecosystem in India, bringing external stakeholders into a shared data fabric for packaging, scrap and unprocessed material management, and delivery coordination. Deployment notes indicate rapid provisioning of multi-party collaboration capabilities and staged onboarding of suppliers and contract manufacturers, enabling production teams and supply chain functions to access synchronized, auditable event data.
Governance changes centered on multi-party workflow orchestration and compliance automation, with process owners adopting shared governance models to enforce environmental and regulatory controls across partners. Outcomes reported alongside the initiative include recognition at the 2025 national manufacturing leadership awards and explicit operational results such as a 12 to 15 percent reduction in operational costs, a 50 percent decrease in manual workflows, improved compliance monitoring, and enhanced visibility across the value chain.
