In 2018, HIOA implemented Videonor Connect as its Audio Video and Web Conferencing platform. The deployment centralized connectivity across several video conferencing rooms from various manufacturers, introduced virtual meeting rooms for staff, and enabled streaming and recording of classes for students while integrating with Skype for Business.
Videonor Connect was configured to provide centralized virtual meeting room provisioning, recording and streaming workflows, and endpoint interoperability services consistent with Audio Video and Web Conferencing functional expectations. The implementation included administrative controls for room scheduling, user provisioning for staff meeting spaces, and capture workflows to support classroom recordings.
Integration work focused on bridging existing room endpoints with Skype for Business to enable hybrid meetings between room systems and UC clients. Operational coverage targeted staff meeting rooms and classroom capture scenarios, with video endpoints from multiple manufacturers routed through Videonor Connect to present unified meeting access for instructors and students.
Governance and workflow changes emphasized provisioning and access controls for recorded content and streamed classes, standardized meeting room provisioning for staff, and administrator-managed scheduling and retention processes.
