In 2016, Holdal implemented Bottomline TreasuryXpress C2Treasury (ex C2Box) to automate bank account management and to streamline cash management processes, aligning the initiative with the Treasury Management category. The project targeted enterprise treasury operations for Holdal, a leading retailer in the MENA region, focusing on centralized bank account controls and cash orchestration across its finance organization.
The Bottomline TreasuryXpress C2Treasury application was configured to establish a centralized bank account master and to automate account lifecycle workflows, consistent with Treasury Management functional patterns. Configuration emphasized bank account management automation, cash visibility and position consolidation, and standard treasury controls and approvals to reduce manual reconciliation work and to enforce signatory and account change governance.
Integration work connected C2Treasury to Holdal's ERP system to enable cash posting alignment, intercompany cash movements, and to surface transactional data for end of day cash position processes. The implementation also prepared interfaces for electronic bank connectivity and bank statement ingestion, following common treasury connectivity models to support automated cash updates and bank reconciliation workflows.
Governance components of the rollout formalized account opening and change request procedures, defined treasury user roles and approval chains, and established operational ownership within Holdal's finance and treasury teams. The deployment was positioned to automate bank account management and to streamline cash management processes without reporting quantified outcomes in the source announcement.
