The Self Service configuration enabled online personal data management, absence requests, CPD progress tracking, overtime claims and phased sickness self-certification, with an administrative configuration tool that allowed HR to make instant changes without IT involvement. Operational integration included workflow orchestration to notify IT to update unique logins and email accounts and to notify finance to create payroll accounts, plus the use of Crystal reporting to deliver headcount and bespoke reports without manual Excel manipulation. Data migration from multiple systems and manual files followed a structured migration plan created with Access, and the end-to-end implementation from contract sign off to go live was completed in three months, with a retained monthly consultant slot to handle iterative changes without downtime. Governance was managed by a dedicated project group led by the HR Systems Manager, the Director of HR and Training, a Senior HR Manager and an external procurement consultant, with limited IT involvement by design. Access SelectHR included secure areas for partnership data to be accessed by selected Partnership Accountants and the roadmap added Health and Safety and Appraisal modules. The solution was delivered on time and in budget, produced immediate cost savings compared with the incumbent arrangement, increased the breadth and quality of captured HR data, reduced administrative time for holiday and personal data processing and made monthly headcount and bespoke reporting available at the click of a button, with benefits becoming evident within nine months.
