In 2020 Human-I-T implemented Oracle NetSuite ERP, deploying an ERP Financial solution across its accounting and finance functions in the United States. The Sr. Manager of Accounting served as person in charge for the Oracle NetSuite ERP implementation and led coordination with the Executive Vice President on expansion and strategic growth activities. Deployment targeted core financial operations for the 70 person professional services organization, concentrating on general ledger, month end close, budgeting, and statutory reporting.
Configurations and modules centered on general ledger structure, month end and quarterly close checklists, accounts payable processing, accounts receivable workflows, budgeting modules, and financial statement generation. Oracle NetSuite ERP was configured to produce the formal monthly and quarterly financial reporting package used for management and Board review, with the Sr. Manager responsible for approving and reviewing those packages. The implementation included automation of recurring journal entries and standardized close procedures to support ongoing accounting operations.
Integrations explicitly implemented alongside Oracle NetSuite ERP included Avalara for sales tax compliance automation and Brex Empower for corporate card and payment reconciliation. Operational coverage extended to the accounting team of five who executed daily accounting tasks, prepared quarterly sales tax filings, supported the yearly income tax return, and coordinated the annual financial audit. The system was used to drive company and departmental budgeting, including monthly Budgeted versus Actual P&L review meetings with department heads and leading budgeting work for 2023.
Governance practices were established to align procedures with GAAP and to formalize approval and review workflows for financial reporting, general ledger controls, and the accounting close cadence. The Sr. Manager led the accounting team in implementing these governance changes and in standardizing documentation to support executive reporting and audit readiness.
