The NetSuite instance also supported operational needs tied to endowment transfers and sales tax prepayments and filings, enabling a single source for consolidated financial records across six operating departments and the development function.
Governance and process changes accompanied the rollout, with NetSuite outputs used to prepare monthly and quarterly reports for the leadership team and board of directors, to create and update finance policies and procedures, and to produce workpapers for the annual audit and IRS Form 990 schedules. The implementation also supported a shift to remote work during the pandemic period, with accounting staff continuing reconciliations using Excel alongside Oracle NetSuite ERP.
