In 2014, Hussmann implemented Oracle E-Business Suite in an ERP Financial deployment to carve out back office systems during the corporate separation from Ingersoll-Rand. The program focused on an Oracle E-Business Suite data center migration and a targeted Oracle ASCP R12.1.3 planning server build as part of the ERP Financial footprint.
The technical implementation delivered a two-server Oracle ASCP R12.1.3 configuration that interacted with the Oracle E-Business Suite transaction server, separating planning workloads from transaction processing. The work explicitly included Oracle E-Business Suite Data Center Migration activities, and the implementation emphasized configuration of planning and transaction orchestration within the E-Business Suite environment.
Execution covered carving out Hussmann’s back office applications from Ingersoll-Rand’s CSC managed data center and migrating them into a Hussmann data center managed by Data Intensity. Project teams included Red Galaxy Consulting, Data Intensity, Tavant Technologies, CSC, Hussmann, and Ingersoll-Rand, with geographically diversified resources operating across multiple locations and countries. Functional coverage centered on back office, planning, supply chain planning and financial transaction processing aligned with the ERP Financial category.
Governance and delivery were structured around formal project assessment, budgeting, planning and execution phases to meet aggressive timelines set by Hussmann’s private equity owners. The separation required coordinated changes to people, process and technology and close vendor management across Data Intensity and CSC alongside consulting teams to complete the carve out and data center migration.

In 2015, Hussmann implemented Workday HCM as its Core HR platform, completing a migration from Oracle Cloud HCM to centralize employee data and core human resources workflows. The implementation targeted enterprise HR operations for a manufacturer with a multi-site US footprint and approximately 5,000 employees, positioning Workday HCM to serve payroll, benefits administration, compensation management, and talent workflows.
Workday HCM was configured across key functional modules including compensation, Business Processes, Payroll, Benefits, Time Tracking and Reports. The team designed and executed Workday Time Tracking from concept through general availability, and maintained HR business processes such as hiring, change job, performance and talent management, compensation change events and expense event processing within Workday HCM.
The program included Workday data conversion activities and the development of I loads and Workday integrations, alongside custom report development spanning Workday and other systems. Advanced reports authoring, Workday report writer work, dashboards, worklets and advanced analytics were delivered to provide operational reporting and self-service insights for managers and HR operations.
Governance and quality control were formalized through active collaboration with Business, Development and Test teams, with updates to the risk register and quality control systems to ensure risks, issues and resolutions were communicated to stakeholders. Documentation of Business Process Procedures and End User Training materials supported rollout and ongoing adoption, while the HCM operations group planned and executed day to day activities related to Workday HCM operation.
Operational scope included payroll-related HR tasks such as recording employee exemptions, transfers and resignations to maintain payroll records, issuing pay adjustments for retroactive increases or error corrections, and monitoring changes in tax deduction laws for payroll compliance. The implementation also supported Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance complaint handling through testing and evaluation of returned goods, and provided employee and manager support on payroll, tax, benefit plan and collective agreement questions as part of Hussmann Workday HCM Core HR operations.

In 2014, Hussmann implemented Microsoft Power BI as a centralized Analytics and BI platform to provide visibility into product lifecycle metrics and support PLM process improvements. The engagement focused on developing report-level instrumentation rather than on replacing a named prior product, with report development aimed at surfacing PLM performance indicators for engineering and product management stakeholders across the United States operations.
Microsoft Power BI work included creation of interactive dashboards, curated report pages, and data models that consolidated PLM metrics into a consistent KPI taxonomy. Reports were configured using Power BI Desktop and published to the Power BI service, with scheduled refresh and role-based access controls to support distributed consumption by PLM teams and manufacturing operations. The implementation emphasized measure definition, visualizations for stage-gate and change-control workflows, and embedding operational KPIs into routine PLM review cadences.
Integrations were implemented at the data layer to ingest PLM-related datasets and complementary manufacturing data sources, enabling cross-functional reporting for engineering, quality, and product management. Governance practices were established to standardize metric definitions, control report access, and align report ownership with PLM process stewards. The delivered Microsoft Power BI reports provided the metrics and reporting structure used to drive PLM process improvements at Hussmann, aligning Analytics and BI output with operational decision workflows.
