In 2019, ICI Industries implemented Redmap AP Automation to centralize accounts payable workflows. The Redmap AP Automation deployment was framed as an AP Automation initiative to support invoice capture, validation, exception handling and supplier payment processing for the company's finance function. Configuration emphasized accurate invoice data capture and validation workflows to ensure invoices post correctly, with explicit operational steps to follow up outstanding items in the AP software so transactions are posted in a timely fashion. The AP configuration accommodated manual supplier invoice entry onto Pronto, including foreign currency invoices and forwarding agent invoices, which required mapped coding rules and exchange rate handling. Supplier statement reconciliation was implemented as a monthly control, with documented procedures to investigate and resolve differences. Operational integrations included Pronto for posting manual supplier invoices, establishing a defined process between the AP Automation layer and the ERP entry point. The scope of the deployment covered core Accounts Payable activities, payment processing to meet payment terms, and routine reconciliation tasks carried out by the finance and AP team. Governance and rollout reached a final phase introduction of the new AP software, Redmap, with process changes oriented around invoice validation checkpoints, exception escalation paths, and follow-up SLAs to ensure timely posting. Day-to-day operational responsibilities continued to include ad-hoc office duties such as filing and archiving and answering the telephone, aligning system-driven workflows with existing administrative processes.
