In 2020, ING Bank Turkey implemented Broadcom ESP Workload Automation to streamline start-of-day and end-of-day processing, orchestrate disaster recovery runbooks, and support high-volume banking operations. The deployment positioned Broadcom ESP Workload Automation within the bank’s Remote Monitoring and Management layer to centralize job scheduling and operational monitoring for core batch and event-driven tasks.
The implementation leveraged workload automation capabilities common to the Broadcom Automic portfolio, including centralized job scheduling, runbook automation, calendar and event triggers, and concurrent stream execution to handle large job volumes. Configuration focused on platform-aware job definitions and workload orchestration across Linux and Windows platforms, with automation templates and standardized job workflows to reduce manual intervention.
Ignite Technology served as the system integrator for rollout and system configuration, implementing cross-platform agents and operational connectors to the bank’s Windows and Linux estates. Operational coverage was concentrated in Turkey and targeted back-office banking operations, start-of-day/end-of-day cycles, and disaster recovery procedures to ensure automated orchestration across sites and operational windows.
Governance work included defining scheduling policies, role based access controls for job owners, and formalized runbook versioning and change processes to support operational reliability. The case study reports that the Broadcom ESP Workload Automation deployment delivered large job-volume improvements and reduced mean time to recovery in Turkey, with standardized automation practices supporting ongoing operational control.
