In 2008, InterSport implemented LS Nav as part of a new IT strategy built on Microsoft technology. The deployment aligned MS Nav and the LS-Retail retail layer as the chain ERP and store operations backbone, and integrated Targit as the business intelligence platform, with LS Nav providing core Point Of Sale capabilities.
LS Nav was configured to serve Point Of Sale workflows and retail operational modules including store checkout, inventory control, pricing and promotions, centralized merchandising and back office financial posting. The implementation embedded retail-specific transaction processing and store-level user interfaces consistent with a chain retail system, while leveraging Microsoft NAV platform services for ERP orchestration.
The architecture centered on a Microsoft technology IT platform, using MS Nav/LS-Retail to unify store and headquarters processes and Targit to consolidate reporting and analytics. Operational coverage targeted the InterSport retail chain and corporate functions in Sweden, aligning store operations, merchandising and finance on a single platform.
Governance changes accompanied the technical rollout, driven by the new IT-strategy and IT-platform mandate, with emphasis on standardized store processes, master data control and platform-level administration for the chain ERP and Point Of Sale environment. LS Nav was positioned as the transactional retail system within that governance model, supporting coordinated operations across stores and central teams.

In 2008, InterSport implemented TARGIT Decision Suite as part of a new IT strategy and platform built on Microsoft technology. The deployment positioned TARGIT Decision Suite to deliver enterprise Analytics and BI capabilities across the InterSport retail chain in Sweden, operating alongside a new Microsoft Dynamics NAV and LS-Retail chain ERP implementation.
The TARGIT Decision Suite rollout focused on standard BI capabilities including interactive dashboards, scheduled and ad hoc reporting, multidimensional analysis and scorecarding to support merchandising, store operations and finance workflows. The implementation included configuration of data models and report libraries tailored to retail KPIs, and ETL processes to consolidate transactional retail data for analysis.
Architecturally the TARGIT Decision Suite was integrated with the MS Nav and LS-Retail systems to ingest sales, inventory and POS level data, and deployed on a Microsoft-centric data platform. Data consolidation used scheduled extraction and staging processes to feed the BI environment, enabling unified reporting across chain retail systems and centralized analytics consumption.
Governance and operationalization emphasized a centralized reporting model and standardized data definitions to align merchandising, supply chain and finance reporting. Role based access controls and established report distribution workflows were implemented as part of the broader IT strategy to ensure consistent analytical governance across InterSport.
