In 2008, InterSport implemented TARGIT Decision Suite as part of a new IT strategy and platform built on Microsoft technology. The deployment positioned TARGIT Decision Suite to deliver enterprise Analytics and BI capabilities across the InterSport retail chain in Sweden, operating alongside a new Microsoft Dynamics NAV and LS-Retail chain ERP implementation. The TARGIT Decision Suite rollout focused on standard BI capabilities including interactive dashboards, scheduled and ad hoc reporting, multidimensional analysis and scorecarding to support merchandising, store operations and finance workflows. The implementation included configuration of data models and report libraries tailored to retail KPIs, and ETL processes to consolidate transactional retail data for analysis. Architecturally the TARGIT Decision Suite was integrated with the MS Nav and LS-Retail systems to ingest sales, inventory and POS level data, and deployed on a Microsoft-centric data platform. Data consolidation used scheduled extraction and staging processes to feed the BI environment, enabling unified reporting across chain retail systems and centralized analytics consumption. Governance and operationalization emphasized a centralized reporting model and standardized data definitions to align merchandising, supply chain and finance reporting. Role based access controls and established report distribution workflows were implemented as part of the broader IT strategy to ensure consistent analytical governance across InterSport.
