Into Film implemented Infor SunSystems in 2012 and deployed the solution to support its ERP Financial operations. The deployment targeted the charity’s finance and operations teams across the United Kingdom, and Sapphire Systems served as the implementation partner.
Infor SunSystems was configured to deliver core ERP Financial capabilities including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, budget control and financial reporting, aligned to nonprofit accounting workflows. The work focused on chart of accounts design, period close controls and audit trail configuration to support program-based fund accounting for the charity’s film education programmes.
Sapphire Systems delivered system configuration, data migration and end user training, positioning finance and operations staff as primary operational users. The rollout centralized transaction processing and reporting to enable consistent financial processes across the organisation and its network of film clubs and programmes.
Governance was implemented through role-based access controls, approval workflows and periodic reconciliation procedures to strengthen financial control and reporting. Will Elkerton, Director of Finance and Operations, reported positive user experience, stating I’m finding Infor SunSystems quite easy to use on the job, it’s not too complex and we’ve had quite a good experience with it, so we’re pleased.
