| Oracle | Legacy | Oracle NetSuite ERP | ERP Financial | ERP | n/a | 2017 | 2018 |
In 2017, InVision implemented Oracle NetSuite ERP to centralize ERP Financial operations across its finance and accounting function. The Oracle NetSuite ERP deployment was positioned to support monthly, quarterly and annual close processes and to formalize financial policies, procedures and reporting standards for a 600 employee professional services firm.
The implementation configured core financial modules of Oracle NetSuite ERP including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, revenue recognition and billing, cash management and financial reporting. Configuration work emphasized automation of the book close, standardized chart of accounts and KPI reporting to shorten close cycles and improve forecast accuracy across accounting, payroll and revenue operations.
Oracle NetSuite ERP was implemented alongside complementary systems that were also put into production, including Zuora for subscription billing, SteelBrick for quote to cash, Avatax for sales tax calculation and Carta for equity management, with operational integration points to sales and tax workflows. The deployment supported coordination between finance and operating departments, and the finance team of ten owned end to end processes from AP and AR through revenue operations and cash forecasting, while interfacing with sales leadership on revenue recognition.
Governance and process changes accompanied the technical rollout, including creation and implementation of financial policies, internal controls, monthly financial reporting cadence and audit readiness. Outcomes recorded during and after the rollout included a reduction in monthly close time from twenty five business days to eight, securing more than $1M in annual savings through cross functional cost initiatives, execution of voluntary disclosure agreements with eleven states, and support for global expansion via creation of local subsidiaries in Europe and North America.
