In 2021 Island Treasure Toys implemented Vend Inventory Management to centralize inventory control across three physical stores and their WooCommerce storefront, using the Inventory Management application to provide a single source of truth for stock levels. The deployment focused on real-time inventory synchronization to prevent oversells during peak holiday periods, and on streamlining inter-outlet transfers and receiving workflows to reflect product movement between outlets promptly.
Vend Inventory Management was configured to support real-time stock visibility, outlet-to-outlet transfer processing, and receiving records for transferred items, enabling accurate on-hand quantities across each outlet and the online channel. The implementation emphasized reporting and real-time dashboards as core functional capabilities, improving the retailer's ability to monitor daily sales per outlet and to support data driven buying decisions.
Integrations were implemented with WooCommerce, QuickBooks Online, and MailChimp to connect point of sale inventory with the web storefront, accounting, and marketing workflows. The WooCommerce integration was used for product publishing and to eliminate manual online inventory updates, while QuickBooks Online integration aligned sales and inventory transactions with accounting records, keeping operational coverage across retail sales, ecommerce, and finance.
Operational governance centered on enforcing the receiving process for transfers and using Vend reporting to inform buying and replenishment decisions, with store-level processes to record transfers and reconcile inventory.
