| Amazon Web Services (AWS) | Legacy | Amazon QuickSight | Analytics and BI | Analytics and BI | n/a | 2020 | 2020 | In 2020 ivari deployed Amazon QuickSight as part of an Analytics and BI initiative on Amazon Web Services. Quantiphi collaborated with ivari to build a foundational data lake on AWS and to replicate and process data from a third party repository for enterprise consumption. The engagement was intended to familiarize an IT team previously invested in Microsoft services with AWS capabilities including data replication, data processing, analytics, and reporting. The implementation architecture centered on AWS S3 as the data lake storage tier, AWS Glue for ETL orchestration and cataloging, and Amazon Athena for serverless SQL analytics, with Amazon QuickSight provisioned for visualization and embedded reporting. Security and auditing controls were instrumented using AWS IAM and IAM Analyzer for identity governance, and AWS CloudTrail for activity logging, while AWS Secrets Manager was used for credential management. Network connectivity and hybrid integration relied on AWS Direct Connect and VPC constructs to link on premises resources to the AWS environment. Operational integration included embedding Amazon QuickSight with a web application to satisfy reporting requirements and processing replicated third party repository data into enterprise ready schemas. The solution was designed to coexist with the organization’s Microsoft Azure platform, enabling cross platform data access and analytics workflows while maintaining the existing Azure footprint. Quantiphi progressed the environment toward production deployment as part of the engagement. Governance workstreams addressed security and regulatory compliance through VPC segmentation, IAM based access controls, and CloudTrail based auditing, and the project incorporated data cataloging and ETL governance via AWS Glue. The implementation expanded Analytics and BI capability within ivari by enabling industry standard analytics tooling on AWS while preserving integration with the company’s Microsoft investments. Work remains to complete the production rollout. | |
