The implementation configured MesserSoft OmniBevel modules for bevel parameterization, automated toolpath generation, and nesting handoff, enabling CAD driven bevel preparation and reducing manual patterning tasks. Configuration focused on embedding bevel logic into the CAD/CAM output stream so shop floor operators received ready to run programs, streamlining setup and reducing manual intervention during production start.
Integrations included direct CAD/CAM data exchange with OmniWin and implementation coordination with Messer Cutting Systems as the systems integrator and equipment partner, aligning software output with plasma cutting hardware on the production floor. Operational scope covered the fabrication and production departments at the Utrecht site, operationalizing bevel programming across the cutting cell and nesting workflows.
Governance and rollout were executed as a production floor program, replacing time consuming manual bevel preparation with an automated CAD driven process, and delivering a much faster setup and production start as reported by the customer. MesserSoft OmniBevel was positioned to standardize bevel workflows and handoffs between CAD/CAM and cutting operations, reducing manual steps and improving process consistency.
