In 2022, JetBrains deployed the Jobbatical Platform to centralize emergency relocation and immigration case management. The effort supported an urgent March 2022 relocation of approximately 250 employees from Russia to Germany, aligning JetBrains Jobbatical Platform HR Compliance,BackGround Screening capabilities with HR and global mobility business functions.
Deployment centered on consolidating immigration case management, end to end document handling and GDPR compliant tracking of personal data using the Jobbatical Platform. Functional capabilities implemented included case tracking, document intake and storage, permit and visa workflow orchestration and compliance monitoring, with background screening and compliance functionality inferred as part of permit and data privacy processes described in the case study.
Operational ownership rested with JetBrains' HR global mobility team, which partnered with Jobbatical to centralize case ownership and coordinate relocation logistics across HR and mobility functions. The implementation created a single repository for immigration documents and GDPR compliant audit trails to standardize approvals, case updates and cross team handoffs during the relocation event.
Governance adjustments emphasized centralized case ownership, standardized document handling procedures and GDPR aligned tracking controls to manage personal data during relocations. The source narrative documents urgent operational execution and centralized compliance workflows, without providing quantitative outcome or cost figures.

In 2025 JetBrains standardized its ML/LLM platform on ZenML to centralize data science and agent evaluation pipelines on Kubernetes. The deployment consolidated prior orchestration footprints and enabled ZenML to manage agentic pipelines exceeding 3,000 nodes while operating across JetBrains sites in the Czech Republic and wider European regions.
Governance and rollout processes were formalized during the phased POC and rollout in 2025, establishing centralized pipeline governance, role based access controls, standardized evaluation pipelines, and documentation for reproducible model and agent testing. Active user adoption increased from 8 to 44 and ZenML now functions as the standardized MLOps Platforms layer for JetBrains, improving governance and scalability of ML and LLM evaluation workflows.
