In 2016, JMA Wireless implemented Domo as its Analytics and BI platform to automate and centralize the company reporting layer. The engagement targeted a cross-functional reporting fabric to support Finance, Sales, HR, Marketing, and Executive Finance reporting using a mix of transactional and departmental sources.
The implementation architecture combined enterprise ETL and native Domo transformation tooling, with SSIS used to extract and stage data and DOMO ETL used to cleanse, transform, and publish datasets into the Domo environment. Domo cards and dashboards were configured and scheduled, with dataset orchestration built to refresh records and drive automated card delivery to departmental consumers. The project produced curated datasets for Finance, Sales, HR, Marketing, and executive reporting use cases, and the full application name Domo appears across dataset definitions and dashboard templates.
Integrations were explicitly constructed to ingest data from SAP, ECC, ADP and various Excel sources provided by departments, preserving transactional detail and departmental dimensions for analytics. The deployment supported role oriented operational coverage across the stated business functions, and dataset pipelines were instrumented to handle recurring loads and scheduling across the source systems.
Governance work focused on standardizing transformation logic, scheduling cadence for dataset refreshes, and establishing a self service reporting pathway by building a model in Cognos Analytics for business user reporting. The Cognos Analytics model was designed to complement Domo by enabling self servicing reporting on curated data, while Domo remained the automated dashboard and card delivery layer for operational and executive consumption.
