MetalTrax Legacy MetalTrax ERP Construction ERP ERP Services and Operations n/a 2020 2020
In 2020, JP Steel deployed MetalTrax ERP as its Construction ERP to centralize core financial and inventory workflows across the business. The implementation established MetalTrax ERP as the authoritative system for accounts payable and accounts receivable processing for all JP Steel subsidiaries. The deployment configured an accounts payable module handling both PO and Non-PO invoices, an accounts receivable ledger with customer payment posting workflows, and weekly payroll processing managed through a third party payroll service Paychecks. Inventory management capabilities were configured in MetalTrax ERP to receive stock, and to add and remove inventory with enforced account coding for vendor returns and customer returns. A master vacation and time off calendar was implemented to standardize time off tracking across the company. Operational coverage included centralized AP and AR administration for all subsidiaries of JP Steel, with day to day use by accounting, finance, payroll, customer relations, and warehouse personnel. Bank reconciliation procedures were executed inside MetalTrax ERP, and customer payment posting workflows were formalized to support accounts receivable operations and customer relations related to payment receiving. Governance changes focused on standardizing account coding for inventory adjustments and instituting centralized control of AP and AR processes across subsidiaries. Workflow controls were applied to invoice processing, inventory returns accounting, payroll handoffs to the Paychecks provider, and the master time off calendar to reduce transaction inconsistencies and improve cross‑department coordination.
