Oracle E-Business Suite provides the functional process set for Order Management, Billing, Collections, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Sales Reporting, Financial Reporting and Supply Chain Management, and it was positioned to hold all financial transactions for day to day business. The environment supports more than 5000 concurrent users connected across the country, reflecting broad operational coverage across commercial, billing and finance functions.
Technical configuration and operations work included UPK installation, configuration and administration for end user procedures, applying 12.2 specific patches using the adop utility, and maintaining multiple environment copies labeled as GOLD, UAT and DEV through implementation phases. The program defined SLA and a methodology for code migration, and implemented shell scripting for applications and database monitoring along with printer configuration for application output.
Operational scope emphasized centralized financial and supply chain processing for the utility, with the Oracle E-Business Suite instance serving order to cash and procure to pay processes used by finance, billing and collections teams nationwide.
