In 2010, JW Marriott Hotel Hong Kong implemented Infor SunSystems as its primary ERP Financial application. The program centered on supervising new opening and upgrade projects for SUN Accounting and Procurement to ensure all installations and upgrades complied with regional standards and policies.
Infor SunSystems was configured to support core accounting workflows and procurement controls, including chart of accounts alignment, AP and AR processing, allocation templates and budget tooling. Standard configurations were documented and systems SOPs were reviewed and updated for the region to align hotel finance and purchasing processes with the application.
Project execution required active communication and interfacing with property finance and purchasing teams, with a liaison role maintained between vendors, the systems manager and finance leadership throughout implementation. The team developed system financial tools, reports and interfaces inside Infor SunSystems, specifically allocation templates, budget tools, daily revenue reports and monthly financial statement packages to support operational reporting.
Governance and operationalization included conducting systems training and sharing best practice with property users, acting as the technical and functional expert providing daily SUN Accounting support to the region. The implementation oversight covered rollouts for new openings and upgrades across properties, participating in over 30 projects while maintaining regional standard configurations and SOP ownership.
