In 2016, K Bank implemented Bankware BX CBP, a Core Banking platform supplied by Bankware Global. The 11 month project delivered customer, deposit, loan and payment systems that enabled Korea's first internet only bank to launch.
The Bankware BX CBP deployment focused on core banking processes including deposits, lending and payments, and included functional capabilities for customer management, deposit account processing, loan origination and servicing, and payment processing. The configuration emphasized centralized account and ledger processing and supported real time transactional workflows common to Core Banking operations.
Operational coverage was limited to South Korea and Bankware Global provided ongoing operation and maintenance after go live, supporting both customer facing and back office functions. Governance centered on a managed operations and maintenance model to sustain the platform and accelerate time to market for the internet only banking offering.
