Microsoft Legacy Microsoft Dynamics AX ERP Financial ERP Columbus 2014 2014
In 2014 Kabel-Zaandam implemented Microsoft Dynamics AX as an ERP Financial solution across its Europe-facing operations, with the deployment leveraging Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 and To-Increase industry extensions. The implementation targeted the company headquarters in the Netherlands and the organization’s manufacturing and distribution footprint that delivers products throughout Europe on a daily basis. Kabel-Zaandam deployed the To-Increase Advanced Discrete Manufacturing suite alongside Microsoft Dynamics AX, configuring core modules including the Advanced Configurator to streamline and accelerate customer quoting, Product Engineering to provide product lifecycle management and workflow-driven change management, and Visual Project Planning to centralize graphical resource and project management. These modules were integrated into the AX transaction and master data model to ensure material, manufacturing, and financial information is available to configure-to-order workflows and project costing. To support data continuity and system interoperability the project used To-Increase Business Integration Solutions, specifically Data Migration Studio to ingest business information from prior systems so data remained available for planning and reporting, Connectivity Studio to enable seamless integrations between Microsoft Dynamics AX and existing software systems, and RapidValue to align business goals, processes, and software during rollout. Columbus served as the implementation partner, coordinating the integration of To-Increase components with Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012. Operational scope emphasized core business functions including manufacturing operations, engineering, sales quoting, project management, finance, and planning. Governance changes centered on workflow-driven change control in Product Engineering and centralized ERP-based process orchestration, enabling Kabel-Zaandam to unify manufacturing and commercial processes within the Microsoft Dynamics AX ERP Financial platform.

To-Increase Legacy To-Increase RapidValue Business Process Management ERP Services and Operations n/a 2014 2014
In 2014, Kabel-Zaandam deployed To-Increase RapidValue as part of a Business Process Management implementation alongside To-Increase Advanced Discrete Manufacturing and Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012. The initiative supported Kabel-Zaandam, a Netherlands-headquartered metal products manufacturer with active operations across Europe, by establishing a combined ERP and process orchestration footprint. The implementation included To-Increase Advanced Discrete Manufacturing modules such as Advanced Configurator, Product Engineering, and Visual Project Planning, each tightly integrated with Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012. Advanced Configurator was configured to accelerate and simplify customer quoting by drawing materials, manufacturing, and financial data directly from AX, Product Engineering delivered product lifecycle management with workflow-driven change control, and Visual Project Planning provided a graphical, centralized resource planning layer. On the integration and data side, Kabel-Zaandam used To-Increase Business Integration Solutions components, notably Data Migration Studio to import business information into Microsoft Dynamics AX for ongoing planning and reporting, and Connectivity Studio to enable unified integrations between AX and the companys existing software systems. To-Increase RapidValue was used to align business goals, process definitions, and the software stack, creating an operational link between process design and the deployed ERP and integration services. Governance and process controls were embedded through workflow-driven change management in Product Engineering and through RapidValue alignment activities that formalized process ownership and cross-functional collaboration between manufacturing, engineering, project management, sales quoting, and IT. RapidValue served to align Kabel-Zaandam’s goals, processes, and software systems to help the company advance its strategy.
