In 2015 Karbon Homes deployed MHR iTrent HR as its Core HR system to centralize HR and payroll operations. MHR iTrent HR served as the HR and Payroll system supporting HR administration, manager self service and payroll maintenance across the organisation.
Configuration and functional scope emphasized employee lifecycle workflows, including new starter and leaver processes and electronic staff change forms that HR and IT designed together. The implementation covered payroll record maintenance and HR casework aligned to absence management, performance management, disciplinary matters and grievance handling, and an HR lead maintained and updated MHR iTrent HR while developing guidance documents and training for managers and staff on self service.
Operational rollout targeted business functions including the Property Directorate where an HR Business Partner coached and supported managers and team leaders, and the project moved 150 staff onto MHR iTrent HR. Rollout activities included manager training, publication of guidance materials and day to day handover to an HR Advisor who was managed as part of the programme, with workstreams spanning employee administration, payroll alignment and case management for absence and disciplinary processes.
Governance and process restructuring accompanied the technical deployment, with updated policies and toolkits produced to align with legislation and to create a new suite of Karbon policies. HR worked with senior managers on a new structure and supported consultation meetings with Trade Unions and staff on new terms and conditions, while standardized electronic forms and defined starter and leaver workflows were introduced to operationalize absence and performance management through MHR iTrent HR.
