In 2025 Karoon Energy implemented SLB Delfi DrillOps Intelligent as its core Geology and Seismic Data Processing platform to consolidate subsurface interpretation and seismic processing workflows for the companys geoscience organization. The SLB Delfi DrillOps Intelligent deployment was positioned to provide a single environment for seismic imaging, interpretation, and data management while aligning with exploration and appraisal activities across Karoon Energys upstream teams.
Configuration focused on standardizing processing chains and interpretation workflows typical of Geology and Seismic Data Processing applications, including seismic stack and imaging stages, attribute analysis, and end to end data cataloging to support model building. The implementation emphasized workflow automation and repeatable interpretation procedures, with SLB Delfi DrillOps Intelligent configured to manage large seismic volumes, metadata governance, and versioned subsurface models used by geologists and geophysicists.
Operational scope targeted Karoon Energys geoscience and subsurface functions, with rollout staged to onboard interpretation teams and reservoir specialists before broader use in well planning. Governance changes included role based access controls for seismic datasets, standardized naming and metadata policies, and validation checkpoints to ensure interpretation provenance and reproducibility within the SLB Delfi DrillOps Intelligent environment.
Training and change management activities were structured around practical interpretation use cases and governance enforcement, enabling geoscience users to adopt the Geology and Seismic Data Processing workflows while preserving auditability of subsurface decisions. The deployment placed SLB Delfi DrillOps Intelligent at the center of Karoon Energys subsurface data lifecycle, supporting interpretation, model iteration, and operational handoff to upstream decision makers.
