In 2011, Kenna implemented Microsoft BI (SSRS, SSAS, SSIS, SQL Server Reporting) to centralize post campaign reporting and generate SQL Server reports against its relational databases. The deployment used the Microsoft BI stack to support campaign analytics for marketing and analytics teams, aligning the work with the company focus on media measurement within an Analytics and BI environment.
The implementation centered on SSRS for report authoring and scheduled report delivery, with SSIS used to automate ETL workflows that moved campaign and tracking data into the SQL Server relational store, and SSAS provisioned to support multidimensional analysis and semantic models for ad hoc interrogation. Integrations were explicitly SQL Server based, with reports and dashboards built directly against the RDBMS, and operational coverage targeted marketing and analytics functions. Governance was structured around a SQL Server reporting catalog, scheduled report distribution, and role based access controls to manage who could run and access campaign reports.
