Origami Risk Legacy Origami Risk Billing Insurance Billing Administration ERP Services and Operations n/a 2025 2025
In 2025 Kentucky Employers’ Mutual Insurance implemented Origami Risk Billing in the Insurance Billing Administration category as a SaaS solution to centralize premium invoicing and receivables processing. The deployment aligned the Origami Risk Billing application with the company’s existing Origami Risk policy and claims footprint to create a contiguous web-based administration layer for billing activities. Configuration of Origami Risk Billing focused on core Insurance Billing Administration capabilities typical for property and casualty billing, including billing schedules and cycle management, invoice generation and delivery, accounts receivable and payment posting workflows, adjustments and endorsements processing, and reporting for finance. The program also includes a deliberate test automation mandate, KEMI issued a request for proposal for a modern test automation tool and intends to build and maintain 200 plus automated tests to validate functionality across releases and configuration changes for both the public website and the web-based administration suite. Integrations explicitly include the Origami Risk policy and claims SaaS application to ensure billing transactions reconcile to policy and claims events and to enable workflow handoffs between policy administration, billing, and claims teams. Operational coverage spans finance, policy administration, claims operations, and IT, with testing and release activity centered on web interfaces that serve both external customers and internal users. Governance for the Origami Risk Billing implementation is being driven through the formal RFP and procurement process for test automation, with test cadence tied to periodic software releases and configuration change windows. KEMI is establishing application ownership and release control practices to support regression testing, configuration validation, and coordinated cutover between billing and the existing policy and claims administration environment using Origami Risk Billing.
