In 2012, Landsnet implemented FIS Integrated Payables as an AP Automation solution. The deployment targeted accounts payable processing and electronic disbursement orchestration for the finance organization at Landsnet, the Icelandic transmission system operator with roughly 130 employees.
FIS Integrated Payables was configured to centralize invoice capture, approval workflow, supplier master maintenance, and payment file generation, aligning with AP Automation functional patterns. Configuration work emphasized invoice validation rules, approval routing, and payment scheduling to support straight-through processing and tighter control over cash outflows.
Separately, Landsnet executed a treasury management implementation of AvantGard Integrity from SunGard between Jun 2013 and Aug 2013, associated with IFS Consulting, with a co-lead implementation team. That treasury project addressed treasury controls and cash positioning, and it ran in close sequence with accounts payable modernization to strengthen finance and treasury capabilities.
Operational ownership for the AP Automation rollout rested with finance and IT functions, using configuration and workflow standardization to embed FIS Integrated Payables into procure-to-pay and payment operations across the organization. Governance focused on defined approval workflows and supplier data controls to reduce manual touchpoints during the rollout.
