OpenGov Legacy OpenGov Cartegraph Asset Management Enterprise Asset Management ERP Services and Operations n/a 2020 2020
In 2020, Lansing Clerks Office implemented OpenGov Cartegraph Asset Management to consolidate community development workflows and municipal asset operations. The rollout addressed the Village of Lansing, IL's acute needs for centralized permitting and licensing processes, and positioned the deployment within the Enterprise Asset Management category to close gaps in reporting and manual processes. OpenGov Cartegraph Asset Management was configured in concert with OpenGov Permitting & Licensing to centralize permit intake, enforce structured approval workflows, and document licensing procedures. Functional emphasis included an asset registry and lifecycle tracking capability from the asset management solution, and automated permit routing and licensing workflow controls from the permitting solution, combined with configurable role-based access for municipal staff. The implementation leveraged the OpenGov Cloud to unify operations on a single platform, enabling cross-departmental collaboration across community development, permitting, licensing, and asset stewardship teams within the village. Reporting and transparency features were activated to produce structured operational reports and dashboards for staff and municipal leadership, improving visibility into permits and asset status. Governance was reoriented toward documented workflows and centralized reporting to support better coordination and oversight. The Village of Lansing anticipated improved efficiency with reduced time to approval, lower manual effort across tasks, and strengthened interdepartmental collaboration as outcomes of deploying OpenGov Cartegraph Asset Management and OpenGov Permitting & Licensing.
