In 2021, Lauren Concrete implemented Command Alkon Connex for Supply Chain Management to digitize inbound material and ticket transactions across its Central Texas operations. The deployment centralized electronic ticket capture and digital material manifests to eliminate paper tickets, with scope focused on supply chain dispatch and billing workflows. Implementation used Command Alkon Connex modules inferred as CONNEX Inbound Materials and the Customer Portal to capture ticket data at the point of delivery, automate ticket routing to dispatch, and feed billing queues for accounts payable review. Functional capabilities included electronic ticketing, timestamped material receipts, and customer visibility through a portal, supporting invoicing accuracy and downstream payables processes. Operationally the rollout covered dispatch, billing and accounts payable teams within Lauren Concrete Central Texas sites and restructured workflows to remove manual ticket entry and reduce phone based reconciliation. The Connex deployment improved invoicing and payables accuracy, reduced short pays and lowered call volumes according to the project notes, enabling more automated billing reconciliation and fewer manual interventions.
