In 2020, Lehto implemented Clausion Financial Consolidation from Insightsoftware to centralize management accounting and reduce reliance on spreadsheet based processes. The deployment targeted the company's finance organization and management accounting workflows, using Clausion Financial Consolidation as the core Financial Consolidation and Close platform.
Implementation focused on standard consolidation capabilities common to Financial Consolidation and Close systems, including a consolidated data model, automated intercompany eliminations, currency translation rules, and close orchestration to sequence period end tasks. Configuration work emphasized data validation, audit trails, and management reporting structures to replace ad hoc Excel worksheets. The Clausion Financial Consolidation instance was configured with role based access and period control to support month end routines.
Operational integration connected Clausion to Lehto's source ledgers and reporting data sets to feed consolidated positions and management packs, while preserving source system ownership of transactional data. The rollout covered finance teams responsible for management accounting and group reporting, with the application serving as the central consolidation engine for internal reporting cycles. Data import mappings and transformation rules were implemented to normalize chart of accounts and reporting dimensions across source inputs.
Governance changes included centralized close governance, standardized consolidation workflows, and enforced validation checkpoints within Clausion Financial Consolidation, shifting control from spreadsheet owners to the finance system. Selection and adoption were influenced by internal users who had prior direct experience with Clausion and recognized its fit for fixing Excel driven planning and consolidation pain points.
