Configuration emphasized USAJOBS vacancy announcement templates, application form mapping, and workflow rules for review and referral, aligning hiring workflows with federal hiring processes. Integration exists between the UsaJobs ATS and the Library of Congress careers web pages to surface live openings and collect applications into the UsaJobs ATS repository for HR review, enabling centralized posting controls and vacancy lifecycle management within the recruitment business function.

In 2018, the Library of Congress engaged LAC Group to provision Lac Group LibSource as part of its Library Management capabilities. The engagement was executed by LAC Federal, a business unit of LAC Group, combining strategic consulting and operational library services aligned with national library operations and planning work at the Library of Congress.
Work centered on CIP cataloging support and the Visitor’s Experience Master Plan, leveraging Lac Group LibSource functionality for cataloging, metadata management, and systems management to scale cataloging throughput and to standardize bibliographic workflows. Lac Group LibSource was used to support cataloging and metadata operations, coordinate cataloging throughput across teams, and provide system-level controls for records management and batch processing consistent with Library Management practice.
Governance blended LAC Federal operational delivery with Library of Congress staff oversight, embedding cataloging governance and process changes into day to day operations to support planning outcomes. Lac Group LibSource supported national library operational objectives in the United States, delivering cataloging throughput scaling and programmatic planning inputs for the Visitor’s Experience Master Plan.
