| Benefex, a Zellis Company | Legacy | Benefex OneHub | Benefits | Benefits Administration | HCM | n/a | 2018 | 2018 |
In 2018 Liverpool Football Club implemented Benefex OneHub | Benefits as part of a broader HR transformation program known internally as Project Spirit. The rollout was sponsored by the Reward Manager and supported by the Head of People Services and an HR Transformation Manager from September 2018 to July 2019 to deliver an efficient organisational design, a defined reward framework, and strengthened governance.
Benefex OneHub | Benefits was configured to operate as an employee self service benefits portal with enrollment workflows, employee communications, and lifecycle management capabilities aligned to Benefits Administration. The implementation work included process reengineering to support automation and enhanced data protection, and the club paired the benefits portal deployment with new onboarding technology and a SharePoint based employee hub and Live Chat service to centralise access to HR services.
The deployment was integrated with existing HR and Payroll systems to synchronise employee records and benefits eligibility, and it was positioned to support People Services, Payroll and Reward functions across the club for approximately 1000 employees. Integration with onboarding technology was used to drive benefits enrollment during new hire flows, and the SharePoint hub and Live Chat extended operational coverage for queries and employee self service.
Governance and process changes accompanied the technical implementation, with defined ownership for benefits administration and a reward governance framework to standardise approvals and communications. Outcomes recorded during the programme included automation and data protection improvements, a reduction in operating costs of 85,000 pounds, and a removal of three headcount positions, reflecting the combined HR and technology redesign. Liverpool Football Club Benefex OneHub | Benefits Benefits Administration supported the club's HR and reward operating model by centralising benefits administration and linking benefits workflows into payroll and onboarding operations.
