LKQ Technographics, Software Purchases, AI and Digital Transformation Initiatives
Discover the latest software purchases and digital transformation initiatives being undertaken by LKQ and its business and technology executives. Each quarter our research team identifies on-prem and cloud applications that are being used by the 43000 LKQ employees from the public (Press Releases, Customer References, Testimonials, Case Studies and Success Stories) and proprietary sources.
During our research, we have identified that LKQ has purchased the following applications: Microsoft BI (SSRS, SSAS, SSIS, SQL Server Reporting) for Analytics and BI in 2015 and the related IT decision-makers and key stakeholders.
Our database provides customer insight and contextual information on which enterprise applications and software systems LKQ is running and its propensity to invest more and deepen its relationship with Microsoft or identify new suppliers as part of their overall Digital and IT transformation projects to stay competitive, fend off threats from disruptive forces, or comply with internal mandates to improve overall enterprise efficiency.
We have been analyzing LKQ revenues, which have grown to $8.58 billion in 2024, plus its IT budget and roadmap, cloud software purchases, aggregating massive amounts of data points that form the basis of our forecast assumptions for LKQ intention to invest in emerging technologies such as AI, Machine Learning, IoT, Blockchain, Autonomous Database or in cloud-based ERP, HCM, CRM, EPM, Procurement or Treasury applications.

In 2015, LKQ implemented Microsoft BI (SSRS, SSAS, SSIS, SQL Server Reporting) to establish an Analytics and BI capability that directly supported Syteline ERP reporting and application support. The engagement emphasized Microsoft BI platform components, with SQL Server Reporting Services used for operational and ad hoc reporting, SQL Server Integration Services used for ETL orchestration, and SQL Server Analysis Services used to model analytic datasets and cubes.
Development work included custom program and report development against Syteline 8.02 ERP, authoring complex SQL stored procedures in MS SQL Server 2008 R2, and generating SSRS reports. Engineering also delivered WinForms components using system properties and VB.NET code behind for embedded application logic and UI-driven reporting, reflecting both presentation layer and backend integration work.
Integrations were centered on Syteline ERP data feeds into Microsoft BI, with ETL pipelines extracting and transforming transactional data into SQL Server staging schemas and SSAS-friendly structures, and SSRS consuming those structures for scheduled and parameterized reporting. The environment cited for the implementation was MS SQL Server 2008 R2, SSRS, and Syteline 8.02, indicating a tightly coupled ERP to BI data architecture.
Project delivery used Agile and SCRUM practices for iterative development and ongoing application support of the ERP reporting landscape. Governance covered sprint-based delivery of reports and stored procedures, code behind maintenance for WinForms, and operational support workflows for SSRS report publishing and SSIS package execution.
