IFS Legacy IFS ERP ERP Financial ERP Financial Management Novacura 2022 2022
In 2022, Lou-Rich implemented IFS ERP and integrated Novacura Flow as a low-code overlay to address shop floor and warehouse execution within its ERP Financial environment. The deployment targeted manufacturing operations and inventory workflows at the Minnesota contract engineering and manufacturing site, with a focus on inbound receiving, outbound shipping, and real time inventory tracking across departments. Novacura Flow was configured to deliver mobile data capture and workflow orchestration tied directly into IFS ERP, enabling handheld terminals, scanner connected PC applications, and mobile devices to execute transactions on the shop floor. Functional capabilities implemented include label printing and barcode-driven receiving, cycle count execution from handhelds, real time inventory visibility, and workflow automation for shipping and receiving that reduced reliance on paper notepads and desk based updates. The technical implementation integrated Novacura Flow with IFS ERP to surface ERP Financial transactions and warehouse processes at the point of activity, preserving core IFS transaction records while shifting user interaction to mobile and browser based flows. Approximately 20 users operate handheld terminals, and the environment includes scanners attached to workstation PCs, supporting cross departmental data sharing without returning to fixed terminals. Governance and rollout emphasized configurable low-code workflows and local customization, with Novacura providing the solution templates and Lou-Rich adapting them to manufacturing specific processes. Reported operational outcomes in the rollout include faster inbound and outbound processing and staff time savings, for example an employee reported saving up to an hour a day in receiving, and the organization is evaluating additional transaction scopes such as time reporting to further streamline the shipping department.
