In 2018, LTI Delivers implemented Trucker Tools Real-Time Visibility Platform under the Real-Time Transportation Visibility category to provide live freight visibility for its ICON Carriers. The deployment targeted operational visibility for carriers dedicated to LTI Delivers that utilize LTI’s trailer fleet through interchange agreements.
Trucker Tools Real-Time Visibility Platform was configured to automate load tracking for the ICON fleet and to leverage the Trucker Tools free driver app to capture driver-supplied location data and status updates. Functional capabilities implemented include automated load tracking and in-application presentation of truck locations so operations staff can access location and status information within day-to-day workflows.
A direct integration between McLeod PowerBroker and the Trucker Tools free driver app was established, enabling members of LTI Delivers’ operations team to view truck locations directly inside the McLeod PowerBroker interface. This integration tied visibility into existing brokerage and dispatch interfaces used by the operations team for load monitoring and exception handling.
The roll-out for ICON Carriers was completed quickly in June 2018, allowing operations to shift from manual phone-based tracking to a click-based visibility workflow. As a result of the Trucker Tools Real-Time Visibility Platform implementation, LTI Delivers automated load tracking for its ICON fleet and reduced the need for multiple calls to drivers or carrier dispatchers by surfacing highly accurate freight location information directly in McLeod PowerBroker.
