| Anti Spam Engine | Legacy | Anti Spam Engine | Secure Email Gateways (SEGs) | CyberSecurity | n/a | 2020 | 2020 | In 2020, Lyman-Morse implemented Anti Spam Engine as a hosted secure email gateway to provide inbound and outbound filtering for corporate mail. The deployment of Anti Spam Engine was identified through public DNS MX records directing mail to mx1.antispamengine.com and mx2.antispamengine.com, the year estimate derived from DNS record timestamps. The implementation centered on hosted email filtering capabilities common to secure email gateway solutions, including inbound spam and malware scanning, outbound scanning to control data exfiltration risk, quarantine and policy enforcement, and administrative controls for allowlist and blocklist management. Anti Spam Engine was configured to process SMTP traffic for Lyman-Morse domains, applying content scanning and policy rules before delivering mail to corporate mailboxes. Operationally the deployment covered companywide corporate email for the US-based marine services and boatbuilding organization, with routing anchored in DNS MX records so all inbound and outbound SMTP flows traverse the hosted filter. Governance was organized around centralized email security administration, DNS-based routing changes for cutover, and quarantine review workflows administered by the internal IT team. The use of Anti Spam Engine as the hosted email filter is explicitly inferred from public MX records pointing at mx1/2.antispamengine.com and DNS timestamp data. |
